Community Agreement
SENT's Commitment to Members
SENT seeks to cultivate a fruitful experience for all members with integrated attention to business success, personal development, community enrichment, and spiritual flourishing.
To do this, through the SENT Community experience, SENT will organize regular virtual meetings, facilitate fruitful interaction, offer strategic guidance, provide spiritual support, develop materials and resources, harness networks, and more.
Through these efforts, SENT hopes to support the holistic growth of its members in their entrepreneurial endeavors, personal lives, and relationship with God. Through serving entrepreneurs, we hope to build a flourishing community that contributes to new life in the world and the Church.
Community Agreement
SENT is a community of Catholic mission-oriented entrepreneurs. Through this community, we seek to develop ourselves and our businesses in union with God. We freely agree to basic norms while engaging in this community.
Community Norms
Commitment to Christ and the teachings of the Catholic Church
-
We strive to follow Christ in our life and work, becoming co-creators with the Holy Spirit as a Catholic entrepreneur.
-
We strive to live according to the teachings of the Catholic Church, through which we will more fully flourish.
Privacy and Confidentiality
-
Each member is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of others. What is said at workshops and within the community platform is held in strict confidence.
-
The Chatham House Rule applies in which participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, should be revealed.
Vulnerability
-
We strive to check our egos at the door.
-
We will allow ourselves to be vulnerable and trusting. Through reliance on others, we will open doors to greater growth.
Be Present & Respectful
-
When attending workshops and community events, members will make every effort to be present and respectful to the speaker and other members.
Give Generously
-
Authentic charity involves a sincere gift of self.
-
We will be intentional and proactive about giving of ourselves to others in community -- through our time, our willingness to offer honest feedback, willingness to share our networks, generosity of prayer, and openness to assist others in community even outside of the meetings.
Receive Generously
-
Authentic charity also entails a humility to receive from others -- whether that is a material gift or constructive feedback.
-
As members of the SENT community, we will be open to receive help, support, guidance, suggestions, ideas, prayer, and more in a spirit of humility.
Non-Compete and Non-Disclosure
-
SENT develops various resources, curricula, content, and more to support members holistic growth. To respect SENT’s investment in developing these resources, Members agree not to copy or distribute any intellectual property or other proprietary content of SENT without the prior written consent of SENT.
-
We are part of a broader whole. So, as an active member of the SENT Network, we will not engage in any directly competitive activity or business to SENT.
Respectful Communication and Collaboration
- Members agree not to use the community platform or direct messages for spamming or soliciting others without their consent. Respectful and purposeful communication is crucial to maintain the integrity and values of our community. We encourage members to collaborate and engage constructively, ensuring all interactions are consensual and align with the spirit of mutual support and development.
-
SENT aims to connect members with SENT Mentors and other experienced Catholic business leaders, offering a unique opportunity to leverage their knowledge and expertise. To ensure these interactions remain focused on this purpose, members agree not to solicit funds, engage in sales, or participate in any fundraising activities with the Mentors during SENT-organized events.
- Violations of these communication norms may result in a warning, a temporary suspension of community privileges, or, in severe cases, termination of membership. These actions are taken to preserve the quality of interactions within our community and to uphold our collective commitment to respectful and purposeful engagement.
Media Release
-
In order to share about the SENT Network and support the entrepreneurs we serve, SENT may from time to time feature SENT members and their companies on a variety of platforms.
-
To further this objective, we hereby consent to allow SENT to use our name, image, and company name in SENT’s marketing about its programs and activities.
Be Patient
-
All good things take time and investment. We will endeavor to give space and time for the community -- and ourselves -- to blossom more fully.
